Suspended: David Olafsson
Injured/unavailable: Fredik Carlsen (leg), Jorden Mutch, Torbjorn Agdestein (both unspecified)
Injured/unavailable: Damion Lowe (unspecified)
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Aalesund were their own worst enemy in their last league match in Skien against Odd BK. They conceded two penalties and had a man sent off to gift three points to the hosts. That result consigned Aalesund to ten league matches without a single win. In games played at home, they have picked up just one point from five matches, a record they will need to change if they are to stand any chance of avoiding relegation this season.
Like Aalesund, Start are also without a win in 2020. Their latest failure to record three points came at home game against Stabaek in round ten – a match they drew 0-0. Start have drawn two and lost two of their four away games this season and the two they lost were only by a single goal margin. The Kristiansand club have only had five separate scorers this season which in apart is where their problems lie.
This fixture is a tough one to predict but I will side with Aalesund and predict that they can make home advantage pay.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – HIGH
This fixture last season ended in a 2-1 win for Aalesund but in truth the goal count in that game might have been far higher. I think we are in for another high scoring encounter between the two here.
HEAD TO HEAD
When Aalesund and Start were playing in the division below last season, it was the former who won both games – 2-1 at home and 1-0 away. Start haven’t won against Aalesund after June of 2015.
