Match Time:7/1/2020 01:00 Wednesday（GMT+8）
Barnsley boss Gerhard Struber has a fully fit squad to choose from in midweek.
Defenders Amari’i Bell and Derrick Williams are both closing in on a return from injury but remain doubtful for Blackburn.
Suspended: John Buckley
Doubtful: Amari’i Bell (knock), Derrick Williams (knock)
Injured/Unavailable: Joe Grayson (hamstring)
MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW
While they may have lacked a cutting edge going forward, Barnsley impressed at the back in their 0-0 draw against a play-off chasing Millwall side, restricting the London club to just one shot on target during the game. Gerhard Struber’s men may still be bottom of the league but a return of four points from their last two league games has seen them move within four points of safety.
Blackburn looked shell-shocked as they were deservedly beaten 2-0 away from home by a Wigan side who are battling down the bottom of the table, even if they are on an impressive run of form. The defeat means that Blackburn have slipped four points off the pace in the battle for the play-offs and have dropped down to ninth place.
Barnsley have looked solid at the back since returning and I expect them to grind out another draw here.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – LOW
Barnsley’s last six league games have failed to produce more than two total goals with the hosts keeping clean sheets in five of their last seven league outings, including both of their games since the restart. Expect a low-scoring affair here against a Blackburn side who failed to score on the weekend.
HEAD TO HEAD
Blackburn edged out a five-goal thriller when the sides met back in November.
