Match Time：10/10/2019 06:15 Thursday (GMT+8)
This round Botafogo won’t count with right back Marcinho, who was called to play for Brazil for the first time.
On the other side they will have an almost complete Goias, who are missing the same three players who stayed out in recent rounds.
Injured/unavailable: Alex Santana (ankle), Marcinho (international)
Suspended: Daniel Guedes (doping), Walter (doping)
Injured/unavailable: David Duarte (knee)
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Botafogo have been terribly inconsistent this year and the fact that players haven’t been getting paid help explain their poor performances on the field, and because of that, their fans broke into their training ground during the week to put extra pressure on the players and that is the kind of thing that happens often in Brazil and the outcome is always negative.
That happens in a moment when Goias are getting better in the season, even reaching the best campaign of the second half of the Brasileiro, which helped them get further away from the relegation zone that was already starting to threaten them after only one win in 11 rounds prior to their good run.
Now, they come from a 1-0 away win against Ceara, while Botafogo had a derby at home against Fluminense that ended 1-0 loss, and even though Goias are living a better moment, they have only three away wins in the league so far this year, so it’s very unlikely that they will get another one this round and we can expect Botafogo to take advantage of Goias’ poor form as visitors to get the home win.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO - HIGH
Three out of the last four times Botafogo played at home in the league ended with high scores, and the only one that didn’t was a goalless draw, which is why I think we will see another high score game here, meaning a total of three or more goals.
HEAD TO HEAD
Goias beat Botafogo 1-0 at home in the first half of the season and their previous game before that had happened back in 2014.
