Rosenborg are again without the injured duo Andreas Helmersen and Anders Konradsen ahead of this home game.
Injured/unavailable: Jon-Helge Tveita (ankle), Hakon Opdal (knee)
Injured/unavailable: Andreas Helmersen (knee), Anders Konradsen (leg)
MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
Brann drew 2-2 away from home against Aalesund in midweek. It was an entertaining match, and one which could have gone either way. Both of the visitors’ goals came from a usual source, striker Daouda Bamba. The Bergen club certainly have goals in them this season having scored at least two goals in each league game so far this season; last year, it was an area they struggled in and it resulted in them having the joint second lowest goals scored tally in the division.
Rosenborg met in Bodo Glimt at home in their round three fixture, it was match that they lost 3-2. The Trondheim club lost their only away match this season by a narrow one goal margin against last year’s champions Molde. Following their disappointing start to the season, there has been renewed speculation around the position of head coach Erik Horneland. A win against Brann would certainly ease the pressure on him and set Rosenborg on track for a better season.
Brann haven’t started the season well and even though Rosenborg aren’t in the best of form, I do believe they can win in Bergen, just like they did last season (1-0).
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – LOW
Both games between these teams yielded just one goal last season (0-0 and 1-0 to Rosenborg) so I expect another low-scoring match here.
HEAD TO HEAD
Brann haven’t picked up any points from their last three meetings with Rosenborg in Bergen.
