Brighton's last match was a 0-0 draw in the Premier League against Leicester City. Neil Maupay had a penalty saved by Kasper Schmeichel in the first half and that was really the only reason why Brighton did not win. Brighton played better defense and a better overall game, and it was quite unfortunate for them to have not gotten all 3 points. Brighton is not really scared of relegation as they are 6 points clear from 18th place and it is hard to see Bournemouth or Aston Villa get those points in these last 7 weeks. Brighton has nothing to play for, but that does not mean they will not pose a threat to Manchester United.
Manchester United played on Saturday night against Norwich City in the FA Cup and it was a very tight encounter. Norwich are last in the Premier League and it was shocking to see United have to go to extra-time to see them off. United and Norwich drew 1-1 at the end of 90 minutes, but Harry Maguire scored a chaotic goal in the 118th minute to seal the deal for United. Of course United did not play their best team, as Rashford, Martial, James, Pogba, and De Gea did not start, and that is because their main focus is to get Champions League qualification through the Premier League.
The reverse fixture of this match ended in a 3-1 victory for Manchester United. However, I see this match being a much less high scoring game. United had a hard time seeing off Norwich and they are going to have to up their level to win against Brighton. Brighton are a tricky defensive team and they will not allow too many goals. I do not see Brighton scoring here, but I see United winning.
