Match Time: 6/28/2020 19:00 Sunday (GMT+8)
Bristol City have two players doubtful for Sunday’s clash with Nahki Wells and Andreas Weimann both carrying knocks.
Sheff Wednesday will be without striker Sam Winnall for the trip to Ashton Gate.
Doubtful: Nahki Wells (knock), Andreas Weimann (knock)
Injured/Unavailable: Adam Nagy (ankle)
Injured/Unavailable: Sam Winnall (knock)
MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW
Bristol City opened the scoring after 34 minutes against a play-off chasing Blackburn side last weekend, but Lee Johnson’s men capitulated soon after as they left Ewood Park with nothing to show for their efforts. The home side are now without a win in six league games and have dropped down to 10th place.
Sheff Wednesday looked to be headed for a defeat in their first game back after the break but Connor Wickham’s late goal rescued a point at home against Nottingham Forest. There were plenty of positives to take from a draw against a top six side, but the result does little to ease the pressure developing on Garry Monk following a run of one win from 11 league games.
Both of these sides are short of confidence right now. A draw will do little for either side but looks the most likely outcome.
SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST TEAM TO SCORE – BRISTOL CITY
Sheff Wednesday needed until the 92nd minute to find the net last weekend and I expect them to start slowly here. Bristol City opened the scoring against Blackburn and will be keen to start well again here as they look to improve on that performance.
HEAD TO HEAD
Sheff Wednesday have recorded three consecutive victories against Bristol City.
