Match Time:7/1/2020 01:00 Wednesday（GMT+8）
Cardiff will be without striker Isaac Vassell and centre-back Matthew Connolly in midweek.
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer could make two changes to the side that beat QPR with Chuks Aneke and Alfie Doughty both in contention for recalls.
Injured/Unavailable: Isaac Vassell (thigh), Matthew Connolly (illness)
Injured/Unavailable: Jonathan Leko (ACL)
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
The final 25 minutes of Cardiff’s game against Preston was packed with drama but it was Cardiff who claimed the three points as late goals from Nat Mendez-Laing and Robert Glatzel helped them to a 3-1 win. The Welsh side have won three league games in a row and now occupy sixth place ahead of the visit of Charlton in midweek.
Charlton claimed three huge points in their battle for survival when they beat QPR 1-0 at The Valley on Saturday afternoon. An organised backline has helped the visitors restart their season with back-to-back 1-0 wins with Lee Bowyer’s men now up to 18th place, even if they aren’t out of the relegation battle just yet.
Charlton have started the final stage of their season in fine form but could struggle here against a Cardiff side who have been even more impressive.
SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST TEAM TO SCORE – CARDIFF
Cardiff have opened the scoring in both of their games since the restart and I expect them to continue that run here. The hosts have scored at least two goals in each of their last four league games and should be able to keep out a Charlton side who are without a clear goal threat.
HEAD TO HEAD
The two sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw when they met at the Millennium Stadium earlier this season.
