PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
Takumu Kawamura gave FC Ehime the lead on Wednesday night in J2 away at Avispa Fukuoka, but they conceded a few minutes later to see the game end 1-1. After two wins to restart the season – and seven goals scored in those games – they have reverted to expected type and lost three in-a-row. They have started to turn it around again and have two draws in their last two matches and those who have seen the games will have seen a team ready to play football and work as a team. They are another team that can benefit in the long run from not having to worry about relegation, as they give young players experience and slowly improve.
Seiya Nakano and Lukian scored the goals to help Jubilo Iwata come from behind twice to draw 2-2 at FC Ryukyu on Wednesday night in J2. They currently sit in 10th place and have disappointed so far, especially considering they were favourites for the top spot before the season started. Three wins from eight for promotion hopefuls is nowhere near good enough and they will know this. Last game they managed their first away point but had to come from behind twice. There is some experience and character in this team, but they need to be more efficient in front of goal and then protect leads.
I don't believe FC Ehime have enough experience or the players to handle a wounded Jubilo Iwata who will have seen that this division is not going to be the easy ride that many expected. A hard-fought away draw last week can be followed by an away win here.
HEAD TO HEAD
The last time these two teams met was in J2 in 2015 when Jubilo Iwata won away and drew at home.
