Sanga are missing Yuki Honda to an Achilles tendon injury.
Jubilo will be without Seiya Nakano (knee surgery last last year) and Yasuyuki Konno, who had back surgery in January. Both should be close to returning, though.
Injured/Unavailable: Yuki Honda (Achilles tendon)
Injured/Unavailable: Yasuyuki Konno (back surgery), Seiya Nakano (knee surgery)
MATCH PREVIEW MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Sanga went down 1-0 at Renofa Yamaguchi on the opening weekend of J2 2020. They played well but could not finish and conceded through a bad goalkeeping error. They will be disappointed with the result but encouraged by their play overall and should not be affected too much by that defeat. Sanga’s incoming players have experience and they are many people's favourites for a promotion push this season.
Koki Ogawa scored twice in the 1st half to give Jubilo a 2-0 home win over Montedio Yamagata on the opening weekend of J2 2020. This team will be too much for many J2 teams and will be expected to be in the top six with ease for most of the season. The experience of Kotaro Omori will help them in midfield and the return from loan of Koki Ogawa will be a big addition, and he already proved his worth by scoring both goals in the opening match!
Sanga were unlucky in their opening match. Their defence may well be the key this season, with some experience and bite added and I feel they can frustrate Jubilo's attack in the 1st half before taking the game in the 2nd.
SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST HALF HAD – DRAW
Sanga were level at half time in 22 of their games last season, over 50%!
HEAD TO HEAD
The last time these two met was in 2015's J2 when Jubilo won away and drew at home on their way to promotion.
