The LA Galaxy are expecting to be without Romain Alessandrini while Juninho is questionable. They also signed winger Cristian Pavon on loan from Boca Juniors in Argentina.

FC Dallas reports a healthy squad and the signing of midfielder Eric Alexander, who was waived by FC Cincinnati.

The LA Galaxy scored their first away goal in 392 minutes of action but it wasn't enough as they fell 2-1 to DC United last weekend. DC led after 28 minutes with Favio Alvarez equalizing in the 28th. The Galaxy dominated but DC scored against the run of play in the 76th minute. LA are in danger of slipping out of the playoffs with four defeats in their past five league outings. They remain at 37 points and are the same point as Real Salt Lake in sixth place in the West, just three points ahead of eighth-place Portland.

After failing to score in two straight league matches, FC Dallas notched a handful last weekend as they downed Minnesota 5-3 at home. They have two wins a loss and a draw in their past four contests but have just five wins in the past 17 league clashes with seven losses and five draws. Dallas fell behind to Minnesota but led 3-2 after 45 minutes. They conceded an equalizer in the 73rd minute but substitute Brandon Servania saved the day with goals in the 85th and 93rd minutes for the win. It was a huge win since Dallas moves to 36 points and they hang on to the seventh and final playoff spot in the West, just two points in front of Portland.

LA are desperate for points and with Dallas having three away wins in 12 games I think LA will do enough to win.

The Galaxy and Dallas don't hold back when playing each other. The last four league meetings have produced 18 goals for 4.5 per game on average. I like the chances of a high-scoring contest.

Dallas won 2-0 at home in March and are unbeaten in the last seven league encounters with six wins and a draw.
