Minnesota Utd took it on the chin last weekend with a 5-3 loss in Dallas. Ethan Finlay scored twice in the first half for Minnesota but they trailed 3-2 at half time. Hasani Dotson made it 3-3 after 73 minutes but Dallas scored in the 85th and 93rd minutes to take the points. Mason Toye didn't help matters either when he was sent off in second half stoppage time. It was their first loss in eight league contests after posting five wins and two draws. They remain at 38 points and in third place in the West, but just four points ahead of eighth-place Portland.

Colorado won their second straight league fixture with a 2-1 home victory over a hot San Jose side last weekend. Kellyn Acosta gave the home side the lead just before half time with San Jose equalizing in the 62nd minute. Man of the match Diego Rubio then notched the winner in the 74th Colorado has taken the last six points available to them after suffering a four-game winless streak of three losses and a draw. They have seven wins, three draws and three losses in the past 13 league games. But with 26 points on the year they are in second-last place in the West, and still 10 points out of a playoff spot.

Minnesota has lost once at home in the league while outscoring their visitors 21-9. Colorado has taken six of a possible 30 away points. I like the chances of a Minnesota win.

67% of Colorado's league games have ended in odd scores this season along with 63% of Minnesota's. They also played to an odd score earlier this season and I think that trend will continue.

The teams met in June with Colorado winning 1-0 at home. They have met just five times in league action with Colorado winning three, losing one and drawing one.
