Injured/Unavailable: Min Seong-jun (broken toe)
JEF United Chiba
Injured/Unavailable: Peter Kwame Aizawa (knee surgery).
MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
Montedio Yamagata earned a point and kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 away draw at Tokyo Verdy last weekend in J2, but that is now four draws and a loss in their last five games and their only win this season was a 1-0 home win against Tochigi SC. They will be disappointed with their seven-point haul so far and are struggling at the bottom of J2.
Solomon Sakuragawa scored in the 92nd minute for JEF United Chiba last weekend in J2, but it was not enough as they went down 2-1 at Ventforet Kofu. What I have seen of JEF United Chiba has been quite pleasing yet they are not taking the chances, and allowing goals at the back. Sakuragawa looks a great find, but JEF United Chiba are once again showing inconsistency. They have won two of their last three away matches against better teams than today's hosts.
JEF United Chiba should have enough, especially with the incentive to get back to winning after last weekend's loss. Take the away win, but with a tighter JEF United Chiba defence and perhaps a clean sheet.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – LOW
JEF United Chiba have three clean sheets this season – coincidentally in their three wins – so I feel this game they can alos keep that clean sheet and win 1-0 or 2-0.
HEAD TO HEAD
In J2 matches between these two teams last season Montedio Yamagata won both games.
