MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Orlando City is unbeaten in their last two league outings with a win and tie after a 1-1 draw in Toronto last weekend. Benji Michel put the visitors ahead after 69 minutes but Toronto levelled the score just eight minutes later. The result definitely doesn't really Orlando's playoff chances as they are still three points behind Toronto and Montreal for the last postseason spot in the East. Orlando has just two wins in their last six league encounters with three draws and two losses and have 30 points on the season.
Sporting Kansas City has lost three of their past four league games after being edged 2-1 at home by Real Salt Lake last weekend. Johnny Russel gave Sporting the lead after 31 minutes only to see Real Salt Lake come back with goals in the 38th and 70th minutes. Any chance of a draw for the home side were dashed in the 84th minute when Daniel Salloi was sent off with a straight red card. Sporting's playoff chances look slim now as their 28 points places them in tenth place in the West, eight points behind seventh-place Dallas.
Sporting is a decent road side with three wins, four draws and five losses. However, Orlando is within striking distance of the playoffs and should take all three points.
SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST HALF HAD – DRAW
Orlando isn't a good first half team as they have led just six times in 25 league games. I expect this match to be level at the break.
HEAD TO HEAD
Sporting won last year's league match 1-0 at home. The teams have met four times in the league with Sporting Kansas having two wins a loss and a draw.
