Match Time: 6/28/2020 23:59 Sunday (GMT+8)
Sandefjord are still missing Marc Vales Gonzalez and Enric Valles as they welcome Haugesund. Emil Palsson is suspended.
Haugesund Ibrahima Wadji is still serving a doping suspension and won’t be back in action until 19 July. Otherwise, the west coast club have a fully fit squad.
Suspended: Emil Palsson
Injured/unavailable: Marc Vales Gonzalez, Enric Valles (both unspecified)
Suspended: Ibrahima Wadji (doping)
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Sandefjord’s unbeaten start to the season, which consists of one win and one draw, came to a shuddering halt as when they played away against Stabaek in round three. It was a game the visitors never looked like winning and one which they eventually lost 2-0. However, Sandefjord can bounce back with a win in this match against a team who have conceded at least two goals in each of their first three league matches.
After leading 2-1 at home to Kristiansund, Haugesund had to settle for a point after the visitors levelled the game 17 minutes from time. Goals for the home side came from Alexander Ammitzboell and Nicklas Sandberg. The latter of those two scored 6 times in the league last season and I expect him to better that tally in 2020 and play a crucial role in the club’s fight for a top half finish.
Sandefjord should be able to take advantage of Haugeund’s poor start to the season and shaky defence and pick up their first home win of the year.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – HIGH
Haugesund first three league games this season have contained three total goals or more, while two of Sandefjord’s last three league games saw three or more total goals, so I will predict another high-scoring match here.
HEAD TO HEAD
The last meetings between Sandefjord and Haugesund was in 2018 – both were won by two-goal margins (4-2 and 2-0) by Haugesund.
