Match Time:7/29/2020 18:00 Wednesday（GMT+8）
Tokyo Verdy have no injury problems.
Ryosuke Kojima continues to be Albirex Niigata's only injury.
Injured/Unavailable: Ryosuke Kojima (broken leg).
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Tokyo Verdy were held to a 0-0 home draw by Montedio Yamagata last weekend in J2. That was a disappointment after two decent wins running before that match. They seem to be playing the long game that I suggested they should earlier this month, and not using their veterans like Leandro and Yoshito Okubo. This will benefit the team in the long run. A draw and a win at home in their last two home games, they will please the fans again here.
Shion Homma scored the 71st minute winner to give Albirex Niigata all three points hosting Mito HollyHock last weekend in J2. After an opening day away win against ThespaKusatsu Gunma, they have two 3-3 draws on the road and have only won at home since then. Last week's home win was a struggle and, after scoring 13 goals in their first five games, they have just a goal in each of the last two games. On the other hand, after conceding 11 in their first four games back from the restart I suggested they need to work on defence more and, since then they have a 1-1 draw and a 1-0 win. Getting better.
I have a feeling that home advantage will give Tokyo Verdy the win here, but it will be tight.
SECOND PREDICTION: CORRECT SCORE 1-0
I expect Albirex Niigata to continue to keep it tight in defence but this will be to the detriment of their forward line and Tokyo Verdy can sneak this with a single goal, I feel.
HEAD TO HEAD
In J2 matches between these two teams last season both games were 1-1 draws.
