MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
On Sunday night in the league, Vissel Kobe took a lead against Urawa Reds with a well-worked team goal from Keijiro Ogawa, but then conceded from a distant shot after a clearance was deflected. They then got their own back with a similar goal, when Hotaru Yamaguchi's 20-yarder took a huge movement off a defender, and Vissel Kobe came back worthy 2-1 winners. With many changes – eight recognised 1st XI players sat out, Vissel come back with three points and to rested players for this home game against the league leaders. They will be buoyed and ready.
Kawasaki Frontale were finally handed a loss in the league, when Nagoya Grampus took a 1-0 home win from the division leaders. Despite changing all their attacking players and using all five substitutes to change things around, they were frustrated by a well-organised host who had scored out of nowhere just before half time. I don't think this team can collapse but they now know they can be beaten and Vissel Kobe can take advantage of this and see through the cracks in the wall!
The visitors may well be deflated and have lost their invincible feelings, so a string Vissel Kobe line-up should be able to take advantage of this, but will need to take their chances. A home win, goals at both ends.
HEAD TO HEAD
In the league matches between these two teams last season each team won their away game.
