Injured/Unavailable: Yuki Rokutan (broken nose), Kazuyoshi Miura (hip)
Injured/Unavailable: Yoshifumi Kashiwa (thigh strain)
MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
FC Yokohama went down 2-0 at home to Urawa Reds last weekend in the league. They have now lost three in-a-row, and won just one game all season. They show glimpses of talent, especially up front – Kazunari Ichimi is a gem – but, all round, they seem out of their depth and having conceded 11 goals in their last three matches, need to tighten up at the back rather than be too concerned about goalscoring right now!
Sanfrecce Hiroshima's legaue game against Nagoya Grampus last weekend was postponed due to Covid-19 cases at Nagoya Grampus. They have drawn one and lost three since they opened the season with two 3-0 wins and have scored just once in recent three matches. It is perhaps fortunate that they did not come up against an in-form Nagoya Grampus last weekend and lose again, and they now have a chance to stop the rot after a longer break than other teams. They are on seven points, just three off the bottom of the league and will surely be desperate enough to ensure they do not lose again here.
Sanfrecce Hiroshima will do enough to contain their hosts and then get the win on counter-attacks.
HEAD TO HEAD
The last time these two teams met in the league was in J2 2008 when there were three games played between each team. Sanfrecce Hiroshima won once at home and once away, and drew the third game – also away.
